I'm Not An Artist was a student run exhibition created to shine a light on what can be art. A group of designers, photographers, illustrators, and painters set out to redefine the title 'artist' and question the stereotypes around it.
On Board - mixed media on recycled skateboards
Going into this exhibition, I really wanted to create a self portrait in a way that didn't show myself too much. I think the exhibition theme is very personal and relates to my own experience as a creative. I used this piece to push myself outside my comfort zone. This piece is about rebelling against the expectations which surround art.
As project manager over the team of 12, I dealt with our timeline & deadlines, organising information, creating our documentation, and following up with each team member. I also was involved in the print media and co-created the exhibition catalogue.
INAA was held at an Artist Run Initiative on the Sunshine Coast, Lantana.
